Attach your commercial invoice:

All shipments must include your commercial invoice. If your supplier does not attach it, please send it to: colombia@bmcargo.com. Important! Without the invoice, we will not be able to ship your goods.

Issue the pre-alert:

This step is crucial. Register your shipment on our website or app (iOS/Android). The pre-alert allows us to identify and handle your purchase correctly from the moment it arrives at our facilities.

What You Need to Know Before Buying

🚫Restricted or Prohibited Items‍

For your safety and to comply with regulations, it is vital to know which items we cannot transport or which require special permits:

  • Restricted Items (require special permits or prior agreement):  High-value jewelry, antiques, perfumes, alcohol, dry ice.
  • Prohibited Items (not transported under any circumstances): Weapons, explosives, narcotics, tobacco, cash, live animals, human remains, hazardous materials, or pornography.

Specific Shipping Requirements‍

  • Adequate packaging that protects the merchandise and prevents damage during transport.
  • Correct labeling with complete sender and recipient information.
  • Accurate and truthful declaration of contents to avoid customs issues.

Each type of product has its own regulations to ensure that your purchase arrives at its destination without any issues. Take note of these requirements!

  • Illegal items such as counterfeit goods or narcotics
  • Medicinal cannabis

  • Money and items with monetary value: active SIM cards, activated credit or debit cards, blank checks, event tickets, lottery tickets, money orders, prepaid cards, stocks, bearer or traveler's checks, vouchers, discount coupons, unused stamps, etc.
  • Flowers and plants
  • Ingots of any precious metal
  • More than two cell phones, computers, or other electronic devices

✅ Specific Requirements — Cargo

(Applicable to goods valued at over USD $2,000)

DOCUMENTS TO SEND VIA EMAIL

  • Complete tax ID number (RUT) with a reprint date no older than 30 days, showing your customs liability as an authorized importer and/or exporter.
  • Tax ID number (RUT) of the legal representative with code 22 enabled in box 53 or certification to carry out commercial operations.
  • Chamber of Commerce renewal year 2025 (valid for less than 30 days).
  • Both sides of the legal representative's ID card.
  • Income tax return for the year 2024 or letter justifying non-filing.
  • Shareholder composition issued by a tax auditor or accountant.
  • Complete comparative financial statements as of 12/31/2023 - 12/31/2024: opinion on the financial statements issued by the statutory auditor, certification of the financial statements issued by the accountant, income statement (financial, comprehensive, statement of changes in equity, cash flow) and notes to the financial statements duly signed.

Note: If the company does not have a statutory auditor, it must submit a report from an independent external accountant who has reviewed the company's accounts (by mail).

  • Double-sided ID card for tax auditors, external accountants, and public accountants.
  • Professional card for both sides of the tax auditor, external accountant, and public accountant.
  • Certification from the Central Board of Accountants for tax auditor, external accountant, and public accountant, no older than 3 months.
  • Two commercial certifications (valid for less than 30 days).
  • Bank certification (valid for less than 30 days).
  • BASC, OEA, ISO, or other certifications, if applicable.
