Silfa and Olivares Champions 2nd Invitational Golf Tournament BMCargo

Bavaro, Dominican Republic - The explosive couple of golfers Hiram Silfa and Marcel Olivares were the best players of the second version of the BM Cargo Invitational Golf Tournament held at The Lakes course located in the Barceló de Bávaro Complex.

The event was attended by 112 players who competed in Scramble format in pairs with 25% of the handicap. From Friday, the players arrived at the layout designed by P. B. Dye, where a welcome cocktail was offered at the Bar Hoyo 19, also starting the registration of the tournament, and Ramses Atallah, President of BM Cargo, took the opportunity to offer the words of welcome to the event, highlighting the beneficial purpose of it, which is the collaboration with the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI). The night ran between live songs and a tremendous atmosphere of camaraderie among the players. The next day, the players began to arrive early, and then left to compete punctually at 9 am.

SPECIAL AWARDS

The longest drive, located at Hole 3, was won by Fernando Rodriguez, with 287 yards. The Precision Drive, located on Hole 13, was won by Alan Padilla, and the approach to Bandera, which was on Hole 12, was taken by Mandy Gonzalez with a shot 2 inches from the cup.

The tournament had three cars for the one that achieved the hole feat in one on holes 2, 9 and 14, but no participant got it right.

In the end, the players headed to the Mallorca II Hall where the prize giving and raffles took place. The funds generated in the tournament were also handed over to the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI).
